- Without a goal we cant progress, with a goal our expectations curb our curiosity & don't let us wander. We need to arrive at a balance between focused thought (work towards a set vision), & fluid thought(work without any expectation). Do because doing is interesting, not the end. - strongly held goals create anxiety, which lead to stress and unpleasantness. and that's not a worthwhile life - and then once one reaches the goal. They either feel empty or they shift the goal post. - Firm goals distort reality. A goal less intense life will push you further towards truth
