# Why NFTs have a value
- - public: true
- Here are the few types of NFTs and how its value is derived
- Collectibles - Narratives around the assets/collection
- Game Assets - Utility in the game
- Virtual Land - Location, parameters (single family home vs skyscraper zoning laws), [type of structure](https://www.cryptovoxels.com/play?coords=SW@436W,4U,193S)
- Locations near where players spawn receive the most “foot traffic.” Also locations near guilds, DAOs, or other entities that are active and generate content can generally drive the whole value of an entire area. A great example would be the Gangnam district in Cryptovoxels. This district was bought by a group of builders who created a Gangnam-style theme around the neighborhood and the entire value of that neighborhood increased in value.
